In collaboration with the master brewery Nibelungengold from Fürstenfeld, we decided to combine the best of both worlds. Daniela and Markus Gruber brought years of experience in producing exquisite craft beers, which they combined with traditional winemaking methods. The result is our unique Asparagus Bock – a beer brewed with a significant proportion of Grand Vert – Leonding green asparagus, which is then fermented using the traditional method. After a long maturation period in the cool cellar, each individual bottle is hand-riddled on riddling racks used in sparkling wine production to remove a large portion of the yeast. Presented in a substantial champagne bottle with a natural sparkling wine cork and wire cage, you already have a high-quality product in your hands. The flavor is pleasantly smooth, dominated by the special caramel malt, accompanied by subtle bitter notes and aromas of fresh asparagus. Our bock beer is always best enjoyed chilled at around 10°C in a wine glass – an unparalleled taste experience.
